EVERY KID DESERVES TO READ
Empowered Readers is a non-profit dreamed up by a 5-year-old little girl who set out to tackle illiteracy by helping families build strong reading rituals and by getting kids excited about reading.
”Reading is the gateway skill that makes all
other learning possible."
The Dissolution of Hope

Children who do not read proficiently by the end of third grade are four times more likely to dropout of school.**
2/3 of students who cannot read proficiently by the end of 4th grade will end up in jail or on welfare.***
